What is the initiative?
Proudly South African Entertainment, Hospitality and Media house Steyn Entertainment, alongside D’Ussé Chateau Du Cognac of France – owned by American rapper, songwriter, record executive and businessman, Shawn Carter aka, Jay-Z – have come together in a bid to uplift the Arts and Culture sector of South Africa after a treacherous 20 months.
By connecting the dots throughout five areas – namely Art, Film, Music, Dance and Fashion – D’Ussé and Steyn Entertainment aim for the initiative to show a clear industry impact over November and December while Jozi’s Hallmark House Hotel plays host to locally curated art galleries, fashion showcases, short-film premieres, dance classes and music-focused events which look to bring new talent to the forefront.
SUBMIT YOUR SHORT FILM
Submit a short film between 5 – 15 minutes and stand a chance for your work to be showcased in a premiere-style evening on the Rooftop at Hallmark House.
International award-winning actor-come-casting-director and producer, Aphiwe Mkefe, will be working through all submissions to choose the winning films, after which we’ll be inviting the public to join us for an evening of screenings, popcorn, chilled vibes and more.
All proceeds from ticket-sales will be donated to the selected filmmakers to assist in furthering their careers.
